Spatially Enabled Livestock Management Symposium

Mairi attended the Spatially Enabled Livestock Management Symposium in Hamilton 18th November 2014. The symposium brought together leading precision agriculture researchers with discussions around a wide range of the latest farming technologies. Topics included animal and feed sensing, spatial/ temporal stock monitoring and environment/nutrient management, animal health and welfare, and sustainable farming practices. International keynote speakers were Jeffrey Bewley from University of Kentucky Lexington and David Swain from Central Queensland University. 

The one-day symposium was hosted by Lincoln Agritech Ltd and it alternates annually between an Australian and New Zealand location.
